Women’s Golf In Eighth-Place After First Day Of Red Rock Invite

first_imgSEDONA, Ariz. – The Drake University women’s golf team finished the first round of the Red Rock Invitational in eighth-place on Saturday.”We struck the ball well today. We saw a little improvement with our putters and cut a significant number of shots,” Drake head coach Rachael Pruett said. “We’ll continue to improve and trust our process.”The Bulldogs record a 319 and are two shots behind British Columbia and Illinois-Springfield, who are tied for sixth.Sophomore Madison Glennie and freshman Grace Dunn each fired a 79 (+7) to lead the Bulldogs and are tied 22nd-place. Sophomore Brooke Miller registered an 80, good for tied for 29th, while freshman Sophie Hill shot an 81. Senior Katie Clausen rounded out the Bulldogs’ effort by shooting an 88.The Bulldogs finish the 36-hole Red Rock Invitational on Sunday at 9 a.m. MT.Print Friendly Versionlast_img
