Tweet this comment Cancel Submit Comment Subscribe to None Replies All new comments An EMS worker investigates rubble from the two-car accident this morning.by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — According to a Kansas Highway Patrol media release, Daniel Santiago, a 27-year-old male from Alva, Okla., was killed in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 160, seven miles west of Wellington at the Mayfield Road interchange, Monday morning.At 8:36 a.m., Santiago was driving a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup, owned by Sandridge Energy with an Oklahoma license tag, when he collided with a red semi truck pulling a 2004 TRVS trailer, driven by Van Galliart, 53, of Matfield Green. Galliart was not injured.Galliart was westbound on U.S. 160 and was getting ready to turn south on Mayfield and came to a stop. Santiago was also westbound but failed to stop and struck the trailer from the right rear.Collision occurred Monday morninglast_img
